Terms of Use

Effective date: August 24, 2026

1. Agreement and eligibility

These Terms govern your use of Chirho Prayer (also called ChiRho), including the native app, website, prayer tools, groups, and related services operated by Pines Intelligence, Inc. By using Chirho Prayer, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

During account creation, the Terms and Privacy switch records your agreement to these Terms, acknowledgment of the Privacy Policy, confirmation that you meet the minimum age, and the versions accepted. Permission for AI-assisted prayer processing is requested separately.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Chirho Prayer. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must permit your use. You may not use Chirho Prayer if the law prohibits you from receiving the service.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate account information and keep your account secure. The native app uses phone-number verification by one-time passcode through Clerk. Do not share a one-time passcode or allow another person to use your account. Notify support promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

You are responsible for activity under your account and for obtaining the devices, connectivity, and permissions needed to use ChiRho.

3. Prayer, health, and AI disclaimer

ChiRho provides prayer, devotional, community, and technology-assisted content for informational and spiritual purposes. It is not a church authority, clergy service, medical provider, mental-health provider, emergency service, or substitute for professional advice, diagnosis, treatment, pastoral care, or emergency help.

Some content may be generated or transformed with artificial intelligence or text-to-speech services. Outputs can be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable. Review content before relying on or sharing it. If someone may be in danger or experiencing an emergency, contact local emergency services or an appropriate qualified professional.

If you allow AI-assisted prayer, ChiRho may send the prayer details you choose—including prayer text, first names, religious tradition, prayer categories, health or life concerns, user-supplied notes, group context, and recent prayer text—to Google Gemini or OpenAI. If you request narration, generated prayer text and the selected voice identifier may be sent to ElevenLabs. ChiRho does not include your phone number or uploaded photos in those requests.

AI permission is separate from these Terms. You may decline it during signup and may withdraw it later through the Support link in Profile or by contacting us. Do not submit another person’s private or sensitive information for AI processing unless you have their permission.

4. User content and conduct

“User Content” includes prayers, prayer requests, messages, photos, names, reports, and other material you submit or share. You are responsible for your User Content and must have all rights and permissions needed to submit it, including permission to use another person's name, circumstances, or photo.

You may not use ChiRho to:

  • threaten, harass, bully, exploit, stalk, defame, or impersonate another person;
  • share another person's confidential, private, or sensitive information without permission;
  • post hateful, sexually exploitative, unlawful, infringing, fraudulent, or intentionally harmful content;
  • groom or endanger a child, or create, request, or distribute child sexual abuse material;
  • distribute spam, malware, deceptive links, or unauthorized commercial solicitations;
  • probe, disrupt, reverse engineer, scrape, or bypass security, access controls, rate limits, or service restrictions, except where law expressly permits;
  • use automated means to access ChiRho without our permission or interfere with another person's use of the service.

Use in-app reporting and blocking controls where available, or follow the instructions on our Support page. We may review reported content and related records to enforce these Terms and protect users.

5. Content rights

You retain the rights you have in your User Content. You grant ChiRho a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, adapt, transmit, display, and distribute your User Content only as reasonably necessary to operate, improve, secure, and provide the features you choose. This license ends when the content is deleted from our active systems, except where continued processing is necessary for protected backups, legal obligations, safety, or content shared with or copied by others.

Group content can be seen by the applicable group members and administrators. Content shared through a public link can be viewed, copied, or reshared by anyone with the link. Do not make content public unless you have permission and accept that risk.

ChiRho and its licensors retain all rights in the service, software, design, branding, and provider-owned content. Scripture, liturgical texts, and other third-party works remain subject to their respective rights and permissions. These Terms do not grant you ownership of those materials.

If you send feedback, you permit us to use it without restriction or compensation, but we are not required to use it.

6. Availability and changes

We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features, and service interruptions may occur. We do not promise that every prayer, tradition, translation, group, audio, notification, or AI feature will always be available or error-free.

The native app does not sell subscriptions in this release. Separate terms may apply if an organization purchases a web-based service from ChiRho.

7. Suspension, termination, and deletion

You may stop using ChiRho at any time and may delete your account through Profile > Delete account. See the deletion instructions.

We may remove content, restrict features, suspend, or terminate access when we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, created risk or legal exposure, harmed users or the service, or when necessary to comply with law. Where appropriate, you may contact support to appeal an enforcement decision.

Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including content licenses already exercised, ownership, disclaimers, limitations, and dispute-related provisions.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CHIRHO IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, OR AVAILABILITY.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CHIRHO AND ITS OPERATORS, AFFILIATES, AND PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST DATA, PROFITS, GOODWILL, OR OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits rights that cannot lawfully be waived.

9. General terms

If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms without our consent; we may transfer them as part of a reorganization, financing, merger, acquisition, or asset transfer.

We may update these Terms as the service or law changes. We will post revised Terms with an updated effective date and provide additional notice when required. Continued use after revised Terms take effect means you accept them.
